Pretty underwhelming. I don’t like the style of this movie at all. The interviews, the 4th wall breaks, and the writing overall was very mediocre. As a piece of fiction the main thing I liked was the tragic aspects of Tonya’s character, though they made her such a victim which really isn’t how it happened in real life. Margot Robbie was obviously fantastic, Allison Janney was good but I didn’t like the way her character was written. Paul Walter Hauser was a huge surprise, he was phenomenal. Another surprise was how well shot the skating scenes were. I wish I liked this more since the potential is there, but the style was just not for me.
