irene jacob showcases her immense talent in this and is easily my favorite part about the movie. it’s nice to come back into kieslowski’s style, god i love how he shoots his stuff. however, there was just something slightly off that held this back from being as good as any of the three colors movie imo. i found weronika’s tale to be a little more compelling and while i won’t ever say no to some french yearning, the second half just didn’t fully click with me. that being said, this movie still fucks and it’s one i can see myself revisiting so maybe i’ll like it more the next time around!
