I adored this. Riveted from beginning to end. Fincher + Ross & Reznor is a powerhouse combination that never seems to fail. They always deliver a consistent yet thrilling tone in their films together. Gillian Flynn’s script is incredible. Only real flaw to me was Ben Affleck’s semi-phoned in performance. Maybe that’s the way the character is supposed to be? Lastly, Tyler Perry kicked ass.

Also, for any Ozark fans out there, I personally feel the show was very inspired by this movie. Extremely similar tones, same setting of Missouri, eerily similar cinematography, etc. (Both even feature a river boat casino called the Missouri Belle!) Ozark is one of my favorite shows, so I don’t really have a problem with it. Just something I noticed.
