“I was questioning the mermaids! What were you doing while I was working?”
3rd viewing and it’s even better than the first two times I saw it. Movies like The Nice Guys are so great because you can watch them countless times over and find great moments that you missed the first time around. These movies that get better each time remind me why I love film in the first place. Hollywood needs more fresh films like this. As much as I love stuff like Marvel, it feels so much more refreshing to find quality original content that’s completely new and isn’t afraid to try new ideas. The Nice Guys does just that. And with compelling and sharp writing from Shane Black, and beautiful cinematography, it makes for what is probably my favorite Shane Black film. (Even though I cherish all of his work) 10/10!
