Dan R. Howard’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is the first movie to ever have me fighting back tears after I walked out of the theater, I think it was so full of love and happiness it broke my heart with inspiration.
This is a movie so full of love for so many different things. It loves musicals, it loves jazz, and it loves acting. It loves relationships, and it loves the necessary evil of having to move on. It loves happiness, music, dancing, sunlight, and California.
Most of all, it loves the fools who dream, and it inspires you to become one of those fools, if you're not one already.
Side note, I'm SO happy that the Roli Seaboard synthesizer got an appearance, probably one of the coolest product placements ever.
