When I was watching this I thought, this music is familiar, it’s exactly the same as the drumming in Neon Genesis Evangelion (which I just finished on Netflix) what a coincidence that they are both made by Hideaki Anno, who I’m starting to discover is pretty much brilliant. 

After a few American Godzilla efforts, this one just shits all over them,  it’s so much better, taking the time to craft characters, it’s really only towards the end we get to know the main two stars, who hopefully we will see in a sequel.  I already have my predictions for, so really hope it happens.
