It was only when I was walking home from the cinema it hit me just how much I loved this film, I knew I liked it, but thinking about it made it so much better.
The story of fathers, and how the action of one father (Gosling) can impact on the relationship between another (Cooper) and his son and later on his own son, sending him down the same path.
From the wonderful first scene and the excellent performances, it was just perfect.
In my opinion Derek Cianfrance will be one of cinema's great directors.
