Given that I was not impressed with the trailers and that I have no knowledge of the source material, I had very low expectations for "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves". I'm happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised! I wouldn't say it's a great movie, but it was a very fun adventure with a likable cast and solid action sequences. This was also funnier than I expected it to be and I thought the world building was really well done. I think overall families will have a blast with this one. I do have some flaws; story is kind of predictable, villains are a bit generic (despite the actors giving good performances), and it's a bit overlong. But regardless the positives easily outweigh the negatives. Certainly way better than I had anticipated!
