  jules’ deceivingly happy and positive exterior doesn’t mean she doesn’t get upset or feels burdened. she views sex as a distraction from her myriad of issues because of the temporary high it gives her but since rue is our narrator we haven't seen really get to see how that came about or more of the reasoning behind her actions
