Digital Press’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don’t know what I was expecting from this. I mean, it’s horrifying and all, but I’d prefer a fictional slasher film over something like Ted Bundy. It plays out like a blow-by-blow (literally) account of his murder spree without any real backstory or glimpse into his motivation. It also doesn’t quite go the documentary route though it hints at it with newsclips and occasional photos that appear to be from reality and not fabricated for the movie.
At least it seems to be fairly accurate, even showing his prison breaks and relationship with his “girlfriend” who didn’t really know what he was up to and was the only woman in his life that wasn’t in mortal peril.
If you just want to watch a bunch of murders in rapid succession, this should fit the bill. If you’re looking for a story to go with it, find a traditional, fictional slasher film instead.
