Dillinger Is Dead

Dillinger Is Dead ★★★★

Masks, social isolation, depression, distracted multitasking, falling into random obsessive cleaning of random things discovered in the house, unnecessarily elaborate cooking rituals to fill time, watching garbage tv or films you half-pay attention to, wearing absurd or revealing outfits you wouldn't be caught dead in IRL, looking at footage of old vacations wistfully, weird art projects, and so on.

This is the ultimate covid lockdown avant la lettre film, to the point where I can't imagine what I'd make of it outside that obviously anachronistic lens. And that's how I felt *before* the last ten minutes, which play wildly powerfully in our current context.
