    A nice star vehicle for Stallone, with an adorable mix of macho posture, bad jokes and off beat sentimentalism, but very irregular as a film. Ironically enough, this functions rather well as a horror film but performs poorly as action, it relies so much on shameless sleaze and Cosmatos' eye is rarely perceptive enough to find the right rhythm and points of view to the action. That chase sequence is worth the film, however - kind of heartbreaking to wreck…

    I don't know how Buñuel was able to make something this crummy in the same year as one of his greatest masterpieces, 'Subida al Cielo'. This film is so lazily conducted that the already substandard material gets almost unbearable. A weak soap opera of bad acting and untactful melodrama.
