DirkH’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film tries so hard to tap into familiar connotations to the adventure genre that the only thing it succeeds at is emphasizing how mediocre and uninspired it is.
Had this attempted to be its own film, it would have been better off, especially since the talent involved is anything but mediocre.
As it is, it perfectly mirrors the movie's poster. It looks cheap, as if it is a slightly better film than most made for TV romps like the Librarian, but it is also clearly intended to make us remember far, far better films.
