Part of Dastardly Difficult December: film nr.58
Brandon Lee. Such a shame he never got to fulfill the potential he shows here. He just has a great physical presence, one that makes this role so much better.
Proyas' penchant for Goth and striking visuals help this somewhat safely structured narrative and drenches it in a consistent, almost comic book atmosphere. He delivers a neat package that is entertaining and a nice exercise in style, never straying too far from the beaten path, but always keeping us engaged.
A perfect in-betweener.
