David Fincher is quickly cementing his name as one of the greatest of all-time. I can't think of any other director that doesn't have a rating of anything less than 4 out of 5 for any of his films (granted, I have yet to see Alien³).
Gone Girl, like so many of Fincher's movies, lingers with you long after having seen it and cries out for at least a second viewing to fully appreciate the intricacies and subtleties that you may have missed as a first-time viewer.
So much more than a typical whodunit/mystery, but then should I have expected any less?
