What a funny, stylish and quirky gem. I'm sure everyone will find a sense of relatibility in this story and that's a testament to the fantastic writing of the characters and the dialogue.
Ayoade really knows how to frame gorgeous shots and uses incredibly unique imagery to convey a lot of what he's trying to establish. Each character is engaging and realistic and has both unlikeable and likeable traits just like us all, the budding romance works very well as the characters never make 'perfect' decisions.
Submarine is all about priorities of actions and decisions but in the name of love and I think it's a lovely little film which everyone can enjoy, even if it is not the most original.
