well… florence pugh came, served and then logged off. good for her, i guess.

  • Jaws

    Jaws

    ★★★★½

jaws has been a shameful dark spot for me, so it was obvious i was gonna catch the imax screening now that i had the chance.

i remember when we watched the shark attack scene in high school to learn about the fantastic power of film scores. it was around the time i became obsessed with movies and this movie played part in that even without having seen it properly. the silences are played on very well too, one time…

  • She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

    She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

i have had enough of this show trying to sell us unrealistic ideas week by week. it’s ridiculous how far they are asking us to go with suspending our disbeliefs. if they have one more character saying that tatiana maslany’s adorable as hell look is a turn-off, i will not be responsible for my actions!!

  • Do Revenge

    Do Revenge

    ★★★★

these bitches are insane – good for them!
probably the year’s biggest surprise for me is how much this movie didn’t suck. i had fun watching it, and when they gave the pet lizard (sorry, oscar winner olivia colman) a spa day with a tiny bathrobe, i was sold for good

  • Broker

    Broker

    ★★★½

a bit of a mixed bag for me. while the found family story won me over, i also felt some of the plotlines were unnecessary. because of those, the movie as a whole never really clicked for me. which is sad because it really shines in the quiet moments when we see the personal connections develop between the protagonists – some truly memorable scenes there.

thelma & louise: we have done nothing wrong, ever, in our lives.
me: i know this, and i love you.

  • Arcane: Bridging the Rift

    Arcane: Bridging the Rift

i’m going to be honest: arcane makes me act like the insane game of thrones fans used to – i go around recommending it to everyone after the shock of learning they have not seen it

i never played league of legends in my life, so when my sister forced me to watch arcane for the first time i was very hestiant. but there truly is something for everyone in there (not to sound like stefon):
    found family, yearning gays,…

“there’s all these people and we’re all looking at the same thing, and we’re all doing the same thing. it’s beautiful. and it feels like, i don’t even know how to describe it. it feels like something. it’s really lovely.”

i wish i had the chance to watch this in a cinema but instead, i got the opportunity to sob into my dinner sandwich on a random monday at home so…

what dean and jenny created with marcel feels unique…
