The Florida Project

The Florida Project

it might be very simple in that regard but this is such a strong film visually, the wonders of childhood painted in pastel colors, main characters appearing tiny walking in the shadow of monuments of capitalism, so many emotions evoked just through those images, enough to get me thoroughly engaged in a film about kids (ew). just so very comforting and beautiful and even quite effective in it's social criticism until sean baker forces himself to put a rather conventional plot into this which results in a way weaker second half that kinda loses me but still great film just not the top 5 of the decade contender that i remember it being.
