Saw this in 3D over Memorial Day weekend. What a jaw-dropping experience! One of the best theater experiences over ever had!
What’s so special about the 3D here is that it wasn’t to enhance VFX, but instead it enhanced the depth of the experience in the way that Spielberg blocks and lights his shots. From a filmmakers standpoint, I was in awe countless times because of how noticeable it was to pick apart how well put together the film was visually and also in terms of pacing.
(Quick side note, even the BUBBLES individually popped out, the underwater scenes were visually immersive in the most nightmarish sense ❤️)
