The Worst Person in the World

The Worst Person in the World ★★★★½

Excellent film about identity and trying to wrap your brain around who you are and what you want, and not just defining yourself by who you're with. While the title is presumably describing the protagonist, Julie, it's far from an accurate descriptor of how the film treats her. She might think her actions make her a bad person, but the film treats her (and those around her) completely empathetically. She's just trying earnestly to figure it all out. Sometimes that ends up with others hurt, sometimes it ends up with her hurt - that's the messiness of life. A sentiment captured here beautifully and vibrantly.
