The Holy Mountain

Already knowing this was going to be absurd, this is probably easily the most out there film I’ve ever seen. It’s like this expedition through the strangest and worst aspects of humanity. Almost like a surreal and distorted portrait of Earth. At its core it’s about shedding our worldly possessions and ego to achieve true enlightenment. There some beautiful images like the rainbow tunnel but also many strange, horrific ones. It does come off kind of pretentious in my opinion, but it is without a doubt a one of kind work of art. I enjoyed this but I honestly don’t see myself wanting to revisit this in the future.
