I've been putting this one off for a while because multiple people spoiled what I assumed was the ending and I wanted to get some distance, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had only spoiled the middle. It's got an impressive cast giving some good performances, and for the most part it's well plotted. My biggest concern is a scene featuring mini-golf where something gets dropped; I couldn't even tell what it was in a close-up shot but someone was able to identify it from a distance in bad lighting and this becomes a major plot point. Given how meticulous everything was up until that point it just felt like they couldn't figure out how to get the story to go in the direction they wanted and it bugged me. As a whole though, still an enjoyable movie but not Fincher's best.
And even though I haven't seen it, Ben Affleck will never be able to have a cunnilingus scene without me thinking "Turkey time" from Gigli.
