Donovan Dorrance’s review published on Letterboxd:
Forgot that Gamora was willing to kill Star-Lord at the beginning of this. Dave Bautista's fake laugh is still funny. I still can't hear Bradley Cooper's voice in Rocket's. The man is a transformer.
Watching this after all the preceding Marvel movies reallllly gives it context. It highlights the infinity stones in the most clear "hey this is super dangerous" way. It also lets us know how powerful Star-Lord is capable of being which helps elevate him from just a fortunate (and likeable) criminal to someone that could truly save planets alongside other Avengers. It's nice to have a standalone that features so many characters simultaneously. It's like having an entire second set of Avengers. Watching the next one juxtaposed to this one will be interesting as I can't remember it at all!
