Donovan Dorrance’s review published on Letterboxd:
Robert Downey’s dry charm keeps this from getting stale. He IS Iron Man, the way Chris Evans IS Captain America. Unlike Hulk and Spider-Man who have never found true homes. This is probably the most rewatched Marvel film, at least for me. I skimmed through it on this watch but ended up watching a lot more than I thought I would because it’s just fun. Also, how often does Jeff Bridges get to play a true villain? He does it well.
Anyone else wish Terence Howard was still Rhodes? Don Cheadle is great but Terence’s vibe in this is unmatched. When he looks at the extra iron man suit and says “next time”, I cried a little on the inside.
