You'd be crazy to try and off Samara Weaving; if you were lucky enough to marry her, last thing you'd want is to kill her!
All jokes aside, Ready Or Not is a surprisingly well-directed fun horror comedy packing plenty of thrills and laughs. It manages to balance the black comedy and terror aspects equally, melding the two together for an enjoyable experience. Samara Weaving stands out the most here with you rooting for her survival through and through. The supernatural ending caught me a bit off guard, but had me laughing too.
A formulaic premise presented in a whole new light with some wonderful scenes, but a minor letdown in not letting Weaving's character go full vengeance much of the duration. Essentially, a highly-polished looking B-movie!
FUN FACT: Samara Weaving starred in The Babysitter (2017), another Satanic themed horror-comedy. Maybe she'll go three for three?
