friday series ranked

i have come to the conclusion that im trash and enjoy most of steve miner’s work lmao. i know that this is bad, like really bad, but i have and still enjoy it. the 3d effects are so cheesy, the character tropes are dull, and the whole movie a mediocre slasher. but honestly? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

chris is tied with ginny for me as best f13 final girl, and i love most of these characters, even if they just play horror character tropes. that ending always gets me, with jason gleefully haunting chris, even in his “death”. the jason face makeup was great, as was the nod to tom savini when debbie was reading a fangoria magazine with an article on him. and died the same way kevin bacon did with tom’s infamous arrow through the neck (albeit martin becker’s wasnt as good)

things i would change
• make the ending the cold nihilistic one with jason still alive haunting chris
• focus more on chris dealing with past trauma and how shes dealing with it
• delete shelley

i still wish we couldve gotten the ginny focused sequel with her looking for jason, but i still enjoy this one
