  Mostly noteworthy to see how Micheaux was experimenting with sound for the first time - particularly in the many (admittedly rough) dialogue exchanges, which are allowed to run for much longer than in silents/pictures with intertitles. As a film, it’s all over the place. As an artifact, it’s fascinating. Need to check out “Body and Soul” next.

  Dude I’m sorry, but Ashton Kutcher’s acting when he wakes up in a new reality only to realize that he has no arms or legs is still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in a movie.
