Daniel Patterson’s review published on Letterboxd:
There’s so much to dissect but all I know is that I was absolutely knocked down by it. Lee creates a simmering atmosphere where the film builds and builds, yet he never gives the audience easy answers. I can’t wait to watch it again to dissect all of its intricate themes and symbolism. Also, just put Steven Yuen in everything, he’s masterful in this film. I’ll probably do a more detailed write-up once I’ve seen it again, but for now, it just might be my favourite of 2018. Spectacular.
