    Review of Standard Edition

    No, I'm not watching the extended version, this was enough for me.

    Though at some points & scenes, it feels like a drag to get through with its nearly-3-hour runtime, and some editing was a tad wonky, this movie backs it up with an incredible story, great characters, fantastic scenery, creature design and makeup, and interesting pieces of lore throughout.

    Not a megafan of this film, but I'll be damned if I said it wasn't great!

    This... was amazing.

    While hitting some nostalgia points by remaking certain moments from the original film, not only did it do that, it also managed to differentiate itself in an absolute golden way.

    The acting is amazing, the cinematography is great, (some shots could just be posters and I would love them) the cast is excellent, and the story and dialogue is absolutely engaging. And the buildup and conclusion to the third act is incredible and satisfactory.
