John Charles’s review published on Letterboxd:
I suspected that the apprehension expressed by Disney before the release of JOJO RABBIT was an exaggeration, though the premise certainly provides for the possibility of something genuinely provocative. The resulting film is not that but does have its moments. The very contemporary, sarcastic nature of the jokes is at odds with the sections of the film that play out more seriously, though some of the gags still land well. However, they are not consistently funny enough to make one less aware of just what an uneven concoction JOJO RABBIT is overall.
