Enola Holmes ★★★

Fun adventure movie with a completely charming lead performance from Millie Bobbie Brown. Some fun bits, some nice political nods, but it doesn’t really build the world it really want to, and still seems to leave too much for a sequel that doesn’t seem like it will happen. Everything’s got to be a franchise nowadays, though, right?

I’m guessing her talking to the camera bit was inspired by the director’s previous work on Fleabag, but it doesn’t pay off here.

The supporting cast is great as well, but Burn Gorman never gets enough to do lately.
