Pretty good. It’s about time I’ve watched this. I finally got the chance to in my History of Film class.
I was surprised with some of the gore in this. I expected this to be another Spielberg family friendly action movie. Which it is to a certain extent, but still, I’m impressed. The scene with the first dead body was like a censored version of that scene from Bully. It felt grindhouse-esque, which I thought was awesome.
Something I think Steven Spielberg is particularly underrated for is his directing of child actors. I don’t know what he does, but he’s able to get some good performances out of these kids, especially the younger one.
Well Done, Steve Spielberg.
