This film was such a huge cultural event in the 90s that there aren’t many other film-influenced cultural movements to compare it to except for maybe Titanic. I was 14 when Scream came out and already loved horror movies, but it made me a fanatic. It made me start searching out all types of horror and thriller films, so it has a special place in my heart. It’s a classic.
