It's been at least a decade since I've seen this one. The Criterion 4K Blu-ray is absolutely gorgeous. Black-and-white heaven.
Even when you know it's inevitable, it is shocking when some people die, and Bogdanovich's passing is the end of an era. He was a bottomless archive of Hollywood stories, some his, some other people's. And if there's any film that feels appropriate to mark his passing, it's the one that put him on the map.
