Spiral: From the Book of Saw

    ★★½

people saying this doesn’t feel like saw... smh, “john kramer didn’t target cops” is the most outrageous retcon the book has to offer so far, that’s pure saw! same with the backwards hat in the flashback, which darren recently confirmed on instagram was in tribute to tobin’s flashback look in vii 3d the final chapter, what could possibly be more saw than that?

    thanks to
    panavision
    west coast janitorial supply
    sevan gas station
    city of burbank

Pitch-perfect Saw-ntent, harnessing the bozo energy of the features for good instead of evil. Haven’t seen the latter but I assume this is major Blood Drips Heavily on Newsies Square-core? Or maybe #1 Fan: A Darkomentary? Idk probably better than both lol

    Bo Burnham: Inside

    ★½

Make Happy is pretty handily my least favorite work of art of all time, so my expectations of Inside were low to say the least. It’s about the same thing Bo’s so-called “comedy” is always about, of course - his pathological straight-white-male need to be the center of attention, how much he loathes that about himself, how helpless he is to change it. It’s still not funny and still uniquely solipsistic, but this time, instead of doing it for an…
