Evan “Kaizō Haya-shill” Pincus’s review published on Letterboxd:
"...Even though I leave a trail of burned things in my wake every single place I go."
-the Mountain Goats, In Corolla
The cosmic hustle. The Safdies have cast something of a magic trick here, a relentless diagram of capital, the objects it's funneled into, the way it moves through hands and the pain it causes. Sandler's as good as you've heard, if not better, a whirling one-man universe of tension who disappears into his role completely. It's the little things, though- the way everyone texts in character, the blacklight, the fake teeth. Glad something finally stepped up to the plate to dethrone A Serious Man as the definitive Jewish picture.
