Lee McCoy’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'll admit I had a similar reaction coming out of H2018 as I did Kills. BUT...the big difference here is my expectations were far lower due to my feeling settling in for the first movie. Kills surprised the hell out of me honestly, delivering punctuated kills, a brewing message throughout of mob mentality, and some pretty shocking surprises in the character department.
Myers is such a force in Kills thanks to Courtney's fine tuned robotic stroll. The "man" is gone. The evil lives. Green and co. offer some answers to commonly debated questions about his motives too.
But overall, Kills feels much more focused, delivering a last act that feels inevitable instead of tacked on. The stakes are high. Like most middle chapters, it will probable be the best. We'll let Ends decide that.
