I wanted to revisit this after a viewing of "The French Dispatch". It confirmed my ranking of Wes Anderson films:
"The Royal Tenenbaums" and "Rushmore" are at the top of the list, side by side. The next tier, just below, is "The French Dispatch", "Moonrise Kingdom", and "The Grand Budapest Hotel". The order, well, that's fluid at the moment.
I will say, though, "The Grand Budapest Hotel" might just be Wes Anderson's best use of color in his entire filmography.
