Dylan Tyner’s review published on Letterboxd:
Two words quickly came to my mind, after I finished watching Memories of Murder... fucking brilliant! This is honestly one of the best vengeance films, i've ever seen. It also doesn't hurt that the movie is beautiful to look at. The film deals incredibly well with retribution, morality and dealing with the consequences of ones own actions. All three were handled with effortless grace, which is a real compliment to director Bong Joon-ho. The ending is absolutely perfect and it hits every single note that the film has been leading up to. It's still resonating with me as I write this review. I can't leave without talking about some of my favorite sequences, which consisted of Song Kang-ho, drop kicking the absolute shit out of his suspects, every chance he got. I'd be lying if I said it didn't leave me laughing every single time.
