- Desperation for connection. For a love that feels true. The potential for freedom and bliss confronted by societal disapproval and condemnation, forcing a choice between which kind of love to give, and to receive. A yearning score. Cinematography that is sometimes intimate and sometimes respectful and distant. The characters seek understanding and love, and even when they find it from each other, they can't from the world around them.
But, ultimately, they are enough.
