  • Pinocchio

    Pinocchio

    ★★★½

    Wild ass kids movie.

  • Men in Black: International

    Men in Black: International

    ★★

One of the more boring and uneventful summer blockbusters I have ever seen.

Wasn't amused with any of the characters nor did I slightly think any of it was funny. Just nothing to like about this movie. Hemsworth and Thompson forgot to carry over their chemistry from Thor. Personally hated all the aliens character designs.

    Just wasn't a fun movie.

  • Dark Phoenix

    Dark Phoenix

    ★★½

Michael Fassbender is once again the best part of these movies.

Most of the characters and their powers are underused and all the fight scenes were set in small spaces so you can barely see what's going on. None of the actors were even trying. All their motivations made no sense, Jessica Chastain was miscast and her alien character thing was dumb and out of place.

Just a very dull comic book movie that has cheesy dialogue. Not awful but not good at the same time. If you've seen all the previous you might as well check this out.

  • Men in Black

    Men in Black

    ★★★½

Will Smith's charisma carries this movie, but that doesn't meant it's not enjoyable.

  • Toy Story 4

    Toy Story 4

    ★★★★★

Animation looks better than maybe any movie ever.

Story is worthwhile, it will bring you to laughter and tears. Has better new characters than Toy Story 3, even if I did hate one of their character arcs.

Wife's Review: Emotional story that keeps you entertained the entire way. 5 stars

  • Mulan

    Mulan

    ★★★½

The kill count in the movie has to be larger than all other Disney movies combined right?

Iconic songs, the dog at the beginning looks like it belongs in a different movie, and she's clearly a girl.

  • I Am Mother

    I Am Mother

    ★★★½

Pretty straight forward but it was cool to see a female run sci fi movie. Most visually appealing Netflix movie to date. Definitely worth the watch if you're into anything sci fi realted.

Clara Rugaard was great for one of her first roles.

  • The Dead Don't Die

    The Dead Don't Die

    ★★½

One of the strangest movies I've ever seen.

Very unique zombie movie, filled with dry humor and a bunch of one minute cameos that do nothing for the plot. A lot of weird choices were made, from characters to visuals and most of them didn't work.

Adam Driver and Bill Murray work well off each other and have some pretty funny dialogue. Outside of that it's a pretty boring movie that moves slower than the zombies themselves.

  • Almost Famous

    Almost Famous

    ★★★½

Main actor could have been a better actor but I loved the cast outside of that. Well written with some famous scenes.

Wife's Review: great list of actors in this movie. Good story line. 4 stars.

  • Moonlight

    Moonlight

    ★★★★

I don't know how Barry Jenkins makes such beautiful movies that are so hard to watch in some scenes.

Wife's Review: Liked it but don't have much to say. 3 and a half stars.

  • Ma

    Ma

    ★★★

Not much of a thriller, but Octavia Spencer definitely plays a killer.

Bland movie with a bunch of actors you recognize from something but you can't quite put your finger on it.

Some scenes almost got to a suspenseful level but not quite. Nothing to write home about, but not the worse movie you'll see this year. Don't waste your time in theaters on it.

Wife's Review: Interesting story line, graphic scenes, but acting is mediocre. 3 stars.
