I left the cinema underwhelmed and disappointed by this movie as I was expecting great things due to the casting and I watched it as part of the LFF ( closing film) .  However , I was immersed in the film as it unfolded (slowly) and I was quietly blown away by Kate Winslet’s performance.  I went into the movie completely blind and had a bit of a shock when the “strong sex” warning appeared 😂.  Unfortunately I started comparing this movie to Portrait of a lady on fire but have since learnt that it was shot at the same time which I think is unfortunate for this movie .  My other problem with this film is that the story was too slight and too predictable but as a character study I guess it succeeded .
