David’s review published on Letterboxd:
A horror classic, Scream delivers with passable performances, iconic scenes, and a stellar screenplay that makes Scream one of the best slashers. I watched it when I was ten years old, and I just rewatched it today on HBO Max (through a VPN) and both times I am in awe of Scream.
And that opening scene is a masterpiece. Even though I knew Casey dies, I still found myself rooting for her, hoping that she’d survive and escape Ghostface. That’s how you make an iconic scene, just masterful.
