I can’t describe how important this film is for me. A film about how we become who we are now, looked at via parental neglect, cycles of abuse, and the “devices that cure heartache” we use to ease ourselves of pain. This is a film about coming to terms with yourself at this point in time, and it impacts me in a way no other film does. One of my favorite films ever made.
