The film did what Green Knight (2021) failed to do; the director's masterful direction in constructing a gripping fantasy film wherein its highly ambitious, yet never once it crossed the line of being unbearable and overly-pretentious. There is so much to love about this film. The blood-curdling score, beautiful camera-work, oustanding acting assemble as well as the consistently gritty atmosphere throughout the whole film. Alexander Skarsgård literally did the almost similar things as Leonardo DiCaprio did in The Revenant (2015) but 10-folds better with more nuance. Also, a huge shout-out to Anya Taylor-Joy who was just a marvel to watch and stole every scene she was in.
With that being said, I still have a few minor issues with the film but overall, the film really enthralled me with its eccentricness and I had a genuinely great time watching this!!
