A lot of interesting ideas—but personally, not sure if they all came together. 

Should be noted that horror is not a genre I particularly enjoy.

That being said: Peele made a beautiful film. The sequences were breath taking and the shots will probably last in my brain for years.

However, when it came to character and story, there were some things that were left desired. I do think this film puts Peele in the top 5 working directors. And I’ll take a messy blockbuster over the other things in theatre any day.

But I didn’t leave in awe personally.
