    Sherlock Holmes

    ★★★

It must be said: the score is phenomenal. The soundtrack alone gives the fight sequences a frenzied energy that would be sorely lacking otherwise. It is truly groovy. And imagine my surprise when I get to the credits and I see it was the one and only Hans Zimmer.

Beyond that, it’s alright overall. Some nice performances from RDJ and Jude Law, but much of the ensemble was a bit scattered when it came to their acting. It’s fairly classic…

    Kung Fury

    ★★★½

This film is still funny every time I watch it, and so immensely quotable. Now that I have seen some actual B-movies released in all seriousness that rival the antics of Kung Fury, I appreciate the film that much more because of all of the fun. Most of these stars are merely because of how recommendable it is.

I’m a big fan of telling someone about this movie and then just unleashing it on them because they will not know what to expect. To this day, Kung Führer is one of the greatest puns of all time and absolutely nothing can top it.
