A quirky dramedy with an excellent script that perfectly balances the comedy with the drama and excellent performances. The story, though a tad predictable towards the end, is wonderfully written. Characters are superbly written and the plot is tightly paced with a brilliantly executed finale. A few scenes that stand out for me are the moment Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) discovers Elsa (Played by Thomasin McKenzie), the scene where Jojo finds his mother (Scarlet Johansson) hanging in the square and the scene where Captain Klenzendorf (Sam Rockwell) saves Jojo from death. The performances are terrific. Roman Griffin Davis and Thomasin Mckenzie bounce well off each other while Scarlet Johansson, Taika Waititi, Sam Rockwell, Alfie Allen, Stephen Merchant and Rebel Wilson provide great support.
