Edgar Cochran’s review published on Letterboxd:
A simple plot, brilliantly complicated on purpose. The cast is excellent, and the suspense is unbelievable. Am I perceiving a Coen's-style aroma of direction? Up to this point, we were led to think that this was Raimi adopting his Hollywood style of direction, but not even the most expert fan critics could have seen what was coming from this "promising" director.
