Edgar Cochran’s review published on Letterboxd:
A definitive horror classic, and Tobe Hooper's first shocking masterpiece of the 70's. Certainly, if I had lived in the 70s, I'd have known the reaction of people witnessing the birth of such hideous, kickass icon. Best of all is, thanks to the low popularity of a name like "Tobe Hooper" (before he went mainstream with Poltergeist) and the low budget, this independent horror flick is now an immortal legend of sickening gore and unbearable psychological horror. I dare to say, evil would not be portrayed so purely until Clive Barker's Hellraiser.
